The Starry Abyss

The fiery king sinks,
Day’s end is his decree,
Beckoning night-lights
That shape the Signs we see.

In the starry abyss,
Roguish rocks stray,
Their tidings a mixture,
As with planets they play.

The face on the moon,
As gracefully she glides,
Are many, and pulling
On our emotional tides.

With no enquiring eyes
Or questioning minds,
Mysteries remain veiled
In space and time.

They know all,
And all will know,
The secrets that wait
For Heaven to show.
